Taking another step on the direction of becoming a great name on the production of EVs, Toyota announced a strategic partnership with BYD.
The main reason, announced before, for making this partnership, was to create batteries. These batteries will work for both EVs that are being developed by the two companies and even gasoline-fueled cars.
Toyota and BYD, aiming to launch the EVs in late 2020, will work on sedans and SUVs.
BYD is an excellent name for Toyota to work with since the company has experience and presence on the Chinese market. They have been working since the beginning of the year on a gigafactory for the creation of battery cells.
